| dc.description.abstract | Siyaset ilminde oyun teorisinin geniş yer tuttuğu birkaç konu vardır. Bunlar arasında oylama, siyasi güç çalışması, diplomasi, müzakere ve pazarlık davranışı, siyasi gruplar arasında koalisyon oluşumu ve siyasi destekleme konuları yer almaktadır. Siyasi hayata dahil olanların farklı amaçlara sahip olması birim ve gruplar arasında bir rekabet ve çatışmaya sebebiyet vermektedir. Oyun teorisinin problemler karşısında en iyi sonucu sağlamak amacıyla en uygun strateji seçimi ile karar almaya dayanması, siyasi meseleler üzerinde oyun teorisinin uygun şekilde kullanılabileceği sonucunu doğurmaktadır. Oyun teorisi aracılığı ile siyasi faaliyetlerde karar alıcıların nasıl ve niçin akıl yürütmede hata yaptıklarını, hangi stratejilerin en iyi sonucu sağladığını, koalisyonların ne sebeple başarısız olduğunu veya devamlı olduğunu ve ne çeşit düzeltmelere gidilebileceğini öğrenmek mümkündür. Bu çalışmada, siyasi parti ya da grupların tek başlarına seçime girmeleri durumunda elde edecekleri kazançlar ve koalisyon oluşturarak seçime girmeleri halinde elde edecekleri kazançlar oyun teorisi kullanılarak açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu tezin amacı, oyun teorisini, siyasi oluşumlar, özellikle de siyasi partiler veya gruplar tarafından üstlenilen karar alma süreçlerini ve stratejik seçimleri açıklamak için temel bir çerçeve olarak kullanmaktır. İki senaryoya (bireysel birimler olarak seçimlere katılmak veya koalisyonlar oluşturmak) odaklanan tez, bu birimlerin uğradığı kazanç veya kayıpları analiz etmeyi ve bir örnek modelle açıklamayı amaçlamaktadır. Çalışma, bu senaryolarla ilişkili getiri matrislerini derinlemesine inceleyerek, seçim süreçlerine katılımı düşünürken siyasi partiler veya gruplar için en uygun stratejileri ortaya çıkarmaya ve sonuçta etkili siyasi yönetişimin oluşumuna değerli içgörüler sağlamaya çalışmaktadır. | |
| dc.description.abstract | There are several topics in political science where game theory has a large place. These include voting, political power exercise, diplomacy, negotiation and bargaining behavior, coalition formation between political groups, and political support. The fact that those participating in political life have different goals causes competition and conflict between units and groups. The fact that game theory is based on making decisions by choosing the most appropriate strategy in order to provide the best result in the face of problems leads to the conclusion that game theory can be used appropriately on political issues. Through game theory, it is possible to learn how and why decision makers make errors in reasoning in political activities, which strategies provide the best results, why coalitions fail or persist, and what kind of corrections can be made. In this study, the gains that political parties or groups will get if they enter the elections alone and the gains they will obtain if they enter the elections by forming a coalition have been tried to be explained by using game theory. The aim of this thesis is to use game theory as a basic framework to explain decision-making processes and strategic choices undertaken by political entities, especially political parties or groups. Focusing on two scenarios (participating in elections as individual units or forming coalitions), the thesis aims to analyze and explain the gains or losses suffered by these units. By examining in depth the payoff matrices associated with these scenarios, the study attempts to reveal the most appropriate strategies for political parties or groups when considering participation in electoral processes and ultimately provide valuable insights into the formation of effective political governance. | |
