Özet
Developments in diagnosis and treatment have led to an increase in chronic diseases and also in life expectancy. The incidence of chronic diseases requiring palliative care has also increased due to the growing elderly population; therefore, the need for end-of-life care has increased over the past decades. End-of-life care improves the quality of life for patients facing life-threatening illnesses. It aims to relieve physical symptoms, provide psychological, social and spiritual support, and fulfil the wishes of patients and families. © 2023 by Nova Science Publishers, Inc. All rights reserved.
